This simple DIY home improvement teaches you How to Clean Concrete and increase your home’s curb appeal!
Alright, some of you might remember that I did a little front of the house refresh last month and painted my front door. I’m still loving it but when I looked at those “after” pictures I realized how gross my front steps looked. They had so much dirt and mildew on them, and sprucing up the front door made it really obvious that I needed to clean my concrete.

We’ve got a tutorial on How to Paint an Exterior Door and give the front of your home a new, fresh, look!
I love wreaths, but in the year and a half we have been sharing projects here on the blog we have only done 2. Why? Because neither Melinda or I have a front door that we like for pictures. #bloggerproblems My front door has a screen door on it, which I love, but it is really hard to take a good picture. Melinda’s door, well it just needed some help. It was not a great shade of green to begin with and the sun had faded it over the years. When Behr contacted us about their BEHR MARQUEE® Exterior Paint & Primer I knew it was time to give Melinda’s door a little refresh!
We show you how to make your own DIY Wood Photo Backdrop for blog projects and food photos in a few simple steps!
We’ve been meaning to make some wood backdrops for our blog photos but we weren’t exactly sure where to begin so we kept putting it off. Last week we finally decided to just do it, I wish we hadn’t waited so long! The wood backgrounds were so easy to make and we are loving the look of them in pictures! [Read more…]
This easy DIY Copper Frame is made with copper fitting and wood dowels and takes less than 10 minutes to put together!
This year Melinda and I joined a few different groups for monthly challenges, where one person picks an ingredient, or in this case an item, and we have to make something with it. Today we’re sharing our first project from the Monthly Home Depot Gift Challenge (in no way associated with Home Depot we just love their stuff!). [Read more…]
We’re so excited because today we are participating in a Tour Through Blogland! Erin from The Blue Eyed Dove gave us a peek at her home and the projects she is working on last week and was sweet enough to invite us to give our own tour this week. Erin loves crafting, decorating, party planning, shopping (a girl after our own hearts!) and has a fun blog where she shows off her creativity. Make sure you hop over to her blog and check out all of the things she’s been working on!
Today we’re giving all of you a peek at our houses and answering a few questions about our blog and our blogging process. Then at the end we’ll introduce you to a couple of our favorite bloggers and they will share their homes/projects with you next Monday! 🙂
Melinda and I have a little craft room where we work on most of our projects together, we also have LOTS of craft materials! We were storing all of our paints in a crate that sat on our craft table and we were trying to come up with a better way to display them when I saw Sugar Bee’s post about her Paint Wall Organizer. It was perfect!
I’ve owned my house for 4 years now and since day one I have been trying to figure out what to do with this weird area on the far side of my living room. The main room is to the right of the stairs but to the left there is this 11 foot wide, 7 foot deep space that is just awkward and unused.
