10 Non-edible Trick or Treat Ideas that will ensure your house doesn’t get toilet papered.
Soon it will be candy overload time. Don’t get me wrong, I love taking my kids trick or treating but the amount of candy they bring home is a bit much. I have younger kids so I’m only trick or treating for an hour and even in that short amount of time they accumulate several pounds of candy! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-candy by any means, I’m just saying there needs to be a balance.

This year I’ve decided to hand out a mixture of edible and non-edible treats — I mean I don’t want to be known as THAT house, you know, the one that all the neighborhood kids skip because there is no candy.
Here are some inexpensive, non-edible, trick or treat ideas that will put a smile on the faces of kids of all ages.
Okay let’s face it, I’m an adult and even I love glow sticks! They can also be used to make kids easier to see at night.
What kid doesn’t like stickers? My kids love them, they wear them, put them on my walls…hmm maybe I should re-think this one?
Check your local dollar store for pencils, the kids can take them to school and keep Halloween going a little longer!
What’s a pencil without an eraser?
Personally this is my least favorite; only because I am the one that gets stuck blowing bubbles! My kids are at the age where they would rather pop them than blow them, BUT kids do love them!
Another favorite of mine! Sidewalk chalk keeps my kids entertained for hours, I enjoy getting artsy too.
These bracelets bring me back to my childhood. I use to wear a dozen on each arm. The good old 80’s!
Plastic Halloween rings can be found everywhere by the dozen and are super affordable. I use them to decorate too.
