It’s time for the Oscars! Next Sunday, February 28th, I’ll be in front of the t.v. watching all of my favorites stars walk the red carpet. I love seeing what everyone is wearing, and this year Chris Rock is hosting so that should be fun! In anticipation of the all of the upcoming Oscar parties today we’re teaming up with a group of our blogger friends to share some simple, and fun, Oscar party ideas.
Sweet and tart Fruit Salsa that you scoop up on homemade cinnamon chips. The perfect dish to bring to summer parties.
Man, it is hot outside today…I love it! Summer is finally here and that means lots of cookouts, pool parties, and picnics! One of my favorite simple recipes to bring to summer shindigs is fruit salsa. It’s better than the typical fruit salad, and it blows traditional salsa out of the water. I make mine a day a head of time along with some delicious homemade cinnamon chips and there are never any leftover to bring home. We’re sharing the recipe over at Real Housemoms so make sure you stop by and check it out. I’m telling ya, once you bring this it is the only thing people will ask you to make for the rest of the summer! I bet our No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake Dip would be delicious with these homemade chips too. For more party dip ideas that was beyond amazing try these.
Here are my picks for chip and dip platters.

This grapefruit tart recipe is a little bit of sunshine. The bright, sweet and tart flavor of the Florida grapefruit goes perfectly with the flaky golden thyme shortbread crust.
I don’t know about you but I am just about done with winter. We haven’t had a lot of snow this year but it has been so cold, and rainy, and dreary. I’m ready for sunshine!! Since it doesn’t look like I’m going to get my wish anytime soon I decided to make my own sunshine this weekend.
