Best of Home. Made. Interest. 2015
We hope you all enjoyed the holidays and had a very happy New Year! We took some much needed time off and spent it celebrating with friends and family….and enjoying a few afternoon naps! It wasn’t all fun and games though, Melinda and I took a little time to look back over everything we did with Home. Made. Interest. in 2015 so we could set our goals for 2016. Before I go any further we both want you all to know how much we appreciate your support. Our little blog has grown so much over the last year and we couldn’t do it without all of you. We are really and truly grateful those of you who continue to come back every week to see what we’ve been up to. Every share, like, tweet, and pin is greatly appreciated!
With that said, Melinda and I looked at all of the posts we did last year to see what you guys seemed to like best so we can give you more of that in the coming months. Here’s a little look back on the top posts from 2015!
Our two round ups of super easy, totally delicious foil packet meals, 10 No Fuss Foil Packet Meals & 10 Easy Foil Packet Meals, are always a favorite. You guys liked them so much we even made a few of our own foil packet meals: Italian Sausage and Pepper Foil Packets, Herb and Butter Foil Packet Potatoes, and Grilled Summer Salad Foil Packets. Making dinner and cleaning up has never been so easy!
The next one was no surprise, I mean who can resist Loaded Au Gratin Potatoes? We took these cheesy potatoes to the next level with baked in sour cream, and bacon. Yum!! Make sure you pin this one because it is perfect for Easter! If Au Gratin potatoes just aren’t your thing we also made Fully Loaded Hasselback Potatoes this year and you do not want to miss those!
Mmmm, I just made this Slow Cooker Taco Soup the other day. It is great in the winter when you want to come home to a house that smells heavenly and a dinner that will warm you up, and in the summer when you don’t want to heat up the kitchen with your oven. You can set it and forget it all day while you hang out at the pool, then come home to a dinner that is ready to serve.
This Pecan Pie Roll was a personal favorite of mine. I dreamed this recipe up and I am so happy you all liked it so much! This post went crazy over Thanksgiving and I hope everyone who tried it for Thanksgiving dessert loved it as much as my family did. Melinda can’t resist pecans so she also made these Mini Honey Pecan Cheesecakes for Thanksgiving too!
This is the second year that these Chicken Artichoke Bites have been at the top of our list for the year. It’s really no surprise, they are chicken, artichoke, cheese, and bacon, cooked in a phyllo cup for a single delicious bite. Melinda and I make a similar Bacon Artichoke Dip that we don’t even need crackers for, just give us a spoon and we’re good to go!
This last one is close to my heart. My grandma’s Coconut Cake recipe has always been my favorite. The secret is the fresh coconut on the outside of the cake. Soooo good! I know she would be so happy to know so many people are enjoying it just as much as our family always has.
We loved making all of these recipes for you guys and we can’t wait to share more in 2016. If you have any suggestions for recipes please let us know in the comments. Look out 2016 here we come!!
