These Light Saber Party Favors are simple printables that are going to be a hit at your next Star Wars party!
Are you as excited as I am about Star Wars: The Force Awakens?! Tonight I’ll be sitting in a theater at midnight watching the newest installment of the iconic series on the big screen. I can’t wait!! My guy and I have re-watched the first 6 movies and we’re totally psyched. My guy is even more excited thank I am, Star Wars was a huge part of his childhood and he is excited and nervous about the new movie. Excited because he loves the series so much, nervous because…well 1, 2, & 3 weren’t our favorites. I have faith that this one is gonna be amazing though. I mean it has Han Solo in it so how bad could it be?

Get ready for Halloween with these easy to make Brain Cupcakes, and a simple DIY cupcake topper.
“It’s Alive!” *cue thunder and lightening*. That’s what goes through my head every time I look at these
adorable creepy brain cupcakes that Melinda and I made for our Mad Scientist Halloween Party. I was worried they were going to turn out as some horrible Pinterest Fail but the frosting was actually really easy to do, and the cupcake toppers took a little time but in my opinion they totally make the cupcake!
This simple Fall Rag Banner is an inexpensive way to decorate your house for fall!
It’s Fall Y’all! It has just started to cool down here and we’ve had some gorgeous fall days. I love this weather! If only it stayed this way instead of getting cold. This weekend was gorgeous and it inspired me to get the house decorated for Fall. I’m not sure if you know this but I’m all about rag banners. They are so simple to make and they have that shabby chic charm I love so much. I’ve made one for a friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday and one for a friend’s son’s rustic wedding. This time I made just for me! [Read more…]

Make a simple Banana Split Kit as a fun spin on a gift basket for your Minions fan!
Has Minions fever hit your house? All of the kids in my life, and more than a few adults, are so excited about the new movie! I went to the beach with my family and my brother -in-law’s family a couple of weeks ago and it was all my nephew would talk about. I must have heard “Bananas!” a thousand times. So, of course when it came time to buy him a birthday gift this year I had Minions on my mind. [Read more…]

We’re back with another Home Depot Gift Challenge (in no way affiliated with Home Depot we just love their stuff!). To refresh your memory the Home Depot Gift Challenge is a group of bloggers who do a monthly DIY using an item chosen by one of the participants. Since the DIY is meant to be a gift the participant also chooses who that month’s project is for. July was our month and Melinda and I were so excited because we’ve had this project in mind for awhile. The item we chose was natural sisal rope and the project was a gift for your best friend. We’re halfway through July and the kids have already started saying they are bored. It’s been a rainy summer so far so we’ve had a lot of days cooped up in the house and I have been struggling for fun activities to keep the kids busy. So, when Pringles® asked me to partner with them to spread the work about their Pringles® Summer Jam I jumped at the chance!
We’re all about music at my house. We have family karaoke sing-offs and dance parties in the living room together. My kiddos have definitely inherited their parents’ love of music. Pringles® knows that people use their cans as instruments so they challenged musicians to incorporate the brand’s iconic can into their music. You can see what they came up with if you check out their Percussion Prodigies’ videos at Pringles.com/music. The kids and I watched the videos for some inspiration then we did this simple music sensory activity where they made their own percussion instruments with Pringles® cans.
This decorative Beach Letter Set is the perfect way to decorate your home for summer.
The beach is one of my favorite places. When summer gets here and the sun is shining the only place I want to be is laying on the beach basking in the sunshine. I try to spend as much time there as possible! I’m lucky, my parents have a place at the beach and I’m able to take the family there for long weekends (or if I’m really lucky long weeks!) and my kids love the sun and sand just as much as mommy. I’ll admit now that I have kids there is a lot more playing in the water and building sand castles than laying out in the sun working on my tan, but I’m not complaining.

Spring is flying by and summer is just around the corner!! We had a gorgeous weekend last week and instead of cleaning house and going grocery shopping I spent the day with the kids. We made our own pinwheels for the first time and we played outside in the sunshine all afternoon.

This Frozen Glitter Playdough is a simple but fun activity for kids that will keep them busy for hours!
It’s warming up outside and the school year is winding down. Soon my oldest will be home during the day and that means fewer Mommy-daughter days with my 2-year-old little girl, Harper. So, I planned a special day for us involving playdough, glitter, Campbell’s® Condensed Soup and Frozen.

This simple DIY Graduation Memory Board makes a great gift for your high school or college grad!
The school year is winding down and that means some lucky seniors will be graduating! I’ve gotten a few graduation announcements in the mail already. Of course back then we picked our invitations out of giant books and they all pretty much looked the same. Now there is Shutterfly where, in a few simple clicks you can personalize and order your invitations online and have them shipped right to your front door! [Read more…]
