Easter Carrot Favor
This fun Easter Carrot Favor is great for Easter parties or non-edible treats to put in your kids Easter basket.
Easter is almost here and that means it is time to start thinking of things to go in all of the Easter baskets! My kids are all about candy but giving them a whole basket full isn’t at the top of my list so every year I go in search of fun Easter basket ideas for little girls and boys. There are so many cute things out there that don’t involve chocolate :). One my favorites are these simple playdough carrots. They make great gifts for Easter baskets and fun classroom favors.
The playdough can be made ahead of time. I use my favorite playdough recipe, and store it in an airtight plastic container until I’m ready to use it. For making a big batch for classroom favors I double the recipe and still have plenty left over for some fun while the kids are on spring break.

How much playdough you use to make the Easter carrot favors will vary depending on the amount you put in each bag; I used a ball of playdough that was about the size of an egg for each bag, and then just rolled it out into the shape of a carrot. I placed the playdough into a 12” pastry bag and pressed it down until it filled the tip and there were no air bubbles. Then I tied the bag closed with a green ribbon. I attached a cute bunny tag that I had cut out with my Silhouette and trimmed the top of the pastry bag so it wasn’t too long.
My favorite part of making these carrot playdough favors is that my kiddos can help. They love rolling out the carrots and placing them in the bags, and they even helped me punch holes in the bunny labels. We always so much fun working on it together!
