It’s almost Valentine’s Day! I don’t go all out every year. I’m not about spending tons of money on flowers, or even going out for a big expensive dinner (though I wouldn’t say no to either!) but I do like to do something to remind the special people in my life how much I love them. I mean who doesn’t like an excuse to give your favorite people a treat to make their day a little happier?

This year my Valentines are getting donuts! I make no secret about the fact that donuts are my weakness. I can resist cookies or brownies (if I have to ) but offer me a donut and there is no holding back. I’m especially partial to donuts that are filled with cream or jelly goodness. You can imagine my excitement when I stopped in Dunkin’ Donuts the other day and they had a tray filled with heart-shaped donuts just in time for Valentine’s Day. Not only are they pretty but they have two new flavors that, after taste-testing both, I can assure you are amazing. They have a Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Heart Donut filled with raspberry filling and frosted with chocolate icing, and drizzled with strawberry-flavored icing and a Brownie Batter Crumble Heart Donut with brownie batter flavored buttercreme filling (seriously this stuff is amazeballs!) and frosted with chocolate icing sprinkled with brownie crumble. Can you think of a better way to tell your sweetie you love them or show your friends how much you appreciate them?

Don’t forget the coffee! Dunkin’ Donuts has some new coffee flavors to pair with their Valentine’s Day donuts. How do Vanilla Cupcake Swirl and Fudge Brownie Swirl flavored coffees sound? You can get them in Dunkin’ Donuts’ hot or iced coffees, lattes and macchiatos so there is something for everyone.

I’m excited that Dunkin’ Donuts has made Valentine’s Day so easy for me this year. I made these really simple Donut Valentine’s Day cards with “Donut Go Breakin’ My Heart” and “Donut You Want to be My Valentine” and because I love you guys so much you can DOWNLOAD THEM HERE. Just print, cut them out, sign them with your name and you’ve got Valentine’s Day covered. I’ll be picking up a few donuts along with a big Dunkin’ Donuts iced Fudge Brownie Swirl flavored coffee on Valentine’s Day morning, slipping a card in the bag and leaving them on the counter for my sweetie. Talk about starting the day off right!
