Welcome back for another round of Home. Made. Interest.’s five favorite projects. Here are our Five Friday Favorites for the month of August.
We spend a lot of time on Pinterest and checking out link parties and we see so many cool projects by all of the talented bloggers out there. So, once again Kat and I have narrowed down our five favorite projects from the month of August, just in case you missed them :).
Our first pick is this Rustic Wooden Summer Art from Katie at Addicted 2 DIY. I refuse to let go of summer already, it has come and gone way too fast! I love how Katie added the rope as the thongs of the flip-flops. It was a brilliant addition to the project and makes it stand out so much more. This would look great on my mantel next summer!
Our second pick is this adorable Little Owl Apron from Jennifer at Pink When. Jennifer has a great step-by-step tutorial on sewing each piece. I am a beginner when it comes to sewing, I can only make pillows and curtains but would love to try this apron. My daughter would love this, okay, let’s be honest, I would love this for myself!
Next up is a Back to School Teacher Gift Box for a berry special teacher from Cindy at Skip to my Lou. These boxes are made from cardstock and can be used for any small gift or as decorations. Aren’t they just too cute?!
This is my favorite pick of the month! Kat & I both pinned this project so it must be a winner ;). This is Chalk Painted Concrete, yes, I know, hard to believe it’s not a rug or carpet, right? Heather from Wood of Bell Trees did an amazing job. I love the colors and pattern she chose, it gives the room a complete makeover.
Our last pick is Kitchen Cheat Sheets from Jennifer at Princess Pinky Girl. She has 7 of the greatest kitchen cheat sheets listed for entertaining, cooking and helpful tips in the kitchen. A wide range from “How long does food last” to wine pairing. These are a must see!
If you liked these projects as much as we did make sure you stop by these talented ladies’ blogs and let them know! 🙂 Make you sure check out our Five Friday Favorites Pinterest board too. We hope you check back next month to see what new favorites we have to share with you!
