Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas

When I was a kid one of my favorite after school snacks was Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas. I remember dipping them and covering them in toppings and then putting them in the freezer for a quick treat after I got home from school. I had totally forgotten about this easy snack recipe until recently and my kids are absolutely loving it!

What Do You Need to Make Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas?

  • Bananas
  • Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate
  • Toppings such as peanuts, pistachios, almonds, walnuts, pecans, sprinkles, dehydrated fruit, dried fruit, toasted coconut or anything else you like!

How to Make Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas

  1. Peel the bananas and slice bananas in half width-wise.
  2. Press a lollipop stick or a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana.
  3. Place the finely chopped chocolate into a microwavable coffee mug and microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between each, until fully melted.
  4. Dip the banana pieces into the melted chocolate. Tap the stick in the banana gently on the rim of the mug to let extra chocolate fall off.
  5. Lay each chocolate-dipped banana on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper or parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle the bananas with your desired toppings and place the baking sheet in the freezer to freeze bananas.
  7. After 1 hour place chocolate-dipped bananas into an airtight container and leave in the freezer until ready to serve.

  • 1 cup Chocolate, finely chopped
  • Your favorite toppings nuts, sprinkles, raisins, coconut, etc.
