Halloween Dessert Pizza made leftover Halloween candy

Halloween Dessert Pizza

Halloween is all about fun, and candy and this Halloween Dessert Pizza is both! This easy dessert pizza is made with a brownie crust, topped with a thick, creamy, Nutella “sauce” and sprinkle with pieces of your favorite Halloween candy.

It’s a simple Halloween dessert that is perfect for Halloween parties, or just a fun way to use up that leftover Halloween candy….I mean I hear some people have that…after trick-or-treating.

What You’ll Need to Make Halloween Dessert Pizza:

  • 13-inch Pizza Pan – I purchased this set of two from Wilton. It is non-stick but I still gave it a quick wipe down with a little vegetable oil and lined the pan with a circle of parchment paper on the bottom.
  • Brownie Mix + ingredients on back of package – Nothing fancy here, you just need a regular size box of brownie mix (make sure it includes instructions for a 13×9 inch brownie pan but NOT family size) and the ingredients listed on the back of the package. I used Betty Crocker Milk Chocolate Brownie Mix in the 18.4 oz box. You can also use your favorite homemade brownie recipe if you prefer just make sure it doesn’t fill the pan up too far. The batter should be slightly lower than the lip of the pan so it doesn’t run over as it bakes.
  • Nutella – Mmm, this creamy, chocolate hazelnut spread makes the perfect sauce for a dessert pizza!
  • Halloween Candy – You can use any Halloween candy that you like but a few of my favorites are:

How to Make a Dessert Pizza:

  1. Prepare pizza pan by spraying with non-stick spray and lining bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl mix up the brownie batter following instructions on the box of brownie mix.
  3. Pour the batter into the pizza pan and use a spoon to spread it out until it is level.
  4. Bake according to box instructions for a 13×9 inch brownie pan.
  5. Once it is finished baking remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
  6. When cooled and ready for the “sauce” place 1 cup of Nutella in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 15 -30 seconds until it is slightly runny. Spread over the brownie layer leaving a 1-inch edge around the outside of the brownie.
  7. Sprinkle on the Halloween candy.
  8. Cut and serve. If not serving immediately you can refrigerate this until ready to serve.
