Hello Summer! Painted Block Set
Guys, it’s already the middle of June! The first day of summer is just around the corner and I am ready! We had a very cold and snowy winter here and I’ve promised myself I’ll wait until at least July before I start complaining about the heat :).
It also means it’s time for me to update my mantel from spring to summer, yes I still had bunnies on my mantel, don’t judge. I’ve seen so many cute projects using the wood block sets from The Wood Connection, so I decided to give them a try.
I used tape to make diagonal lines, stencils to create hex (my new favorite!) and chevron patterns and gold vinyl for polka dots. On the flip-flops I used scrapbook paper for the flowers and cut out “hello” in gold vinyl using my Silhouette.
It was a quick and easy summer decor project and I love how the colors and patterns turned out. I think the gold accent is my favorite part, especially the “Hello” on the flip-flops.
Summer, I’m ready! Bring on the sunshine!!
