Italian Sausage and Pepper Foil Packet Meal
Italian sausage and Pepper Foil Packets are made with Italian Sausage, bell peppers, and onions. It’s an easy meal that is perfect for family dinner, or camping.
Italian Sausage and Pepper Foil Packet
We do a lot of grilling during the summer and simple foil packet meals, or hobo dinners, like this Italian Sausage and Pepper Foil Packet are at the top of my list. Just like a one pot meal all of the ingredients are cooked together and there is almost no clean-up required!

For this foil packet dinner I chopped up some Italian sausage, red peppers, yellow pepper, and red onions, and sprinkled everything with salt and pepper. Then I wrapped it all up in a neat foil packet. If you want to skip making your own foil packet you can also buy these foil pockets.
How to Make a Foil Packet:
- Start by measuring out at least 12 inches of foil. You can determine how much foil you need by placing the ingredients in the center of the foil and folding both sides into the middle ensuring they can overlap in the center. Once the two sides overlap make sure you have at least 3 inches on each end to roll up and seal the packet.
- Fold the two long sides into the center and bring them together, leaving just a little room above the food to give the steam room to expand as the food cooks. Then fold them over to seal the center line.
- Fold the ends up and roll them in towards the middle as far as you can go.
Tip: Use heavy duty foil to ensure that it holds up to all of the folding and cooking on the grill.
How to Make Italian Sausage Foil Packets
- Cut Italian sausage into slices.
- Cut vegetables into large wedges.
- Mix meat and vegetables together and salt and pepper to taste.
- Wrap in a foil packet and grill for 20 minutes or until sausage is cooked through.

- 2 Red Bell Peppers, large dice
- 2 Yellow Bell Peppers, large dice
- 1 Red Onion, thinly sliced
- Salt

Instructions
