Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl
This Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl is a delicious Greek salad that skips the lettuce and uses all of ingredients you’d find in a Greek chicken gyro recipe. Top it with a keto version of homemade tzatziki sauce for the perfect meal!
Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl
This Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl is perfect for lunch or dinner. It’s quick and easy to make and you can prep all of the ingredients ahead of time so it’s a great solution for those busy days when you’re trying to stick to low carb but you don’t have time to cook.
It’s kind of like a salad without the lettuce, instead you’ve got cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, onions, chicken, and cheese. And in place of dressing you toss everything in a rich, creamy, keto tzatziki sauce that is packed with flavor.

There is no right or wrong way to make this as long as you use low carb ingredients. If you want to add some lettuce go for it, green pepper, or roasted red pepper, yum! I’ll get you started with the basic Greek ingredients below and then you can customize it from there :).
What is in a Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl?
- Chicken – I prefer grilled chicken for this recipe but you can also bake it or cook it in a skillet.
- Cucumber
- Olives – I use kalamata olives for Greek recipes but if you like green olives, or black olives (Melinda’s favorite!) better then go for it :).
- Tomato
- Red Onion
- Feta Cheese
- Keto Tzatziki Sauce – We shared our recipe for this keto version of the classic Greek tzatziki sauce here.
How to Make a Keto Chicken Gyro Bowl:
- Marinate the chicken. In a large bowl combine all of the marinade ingredients and whisk together. Place chicken in a gallon freezer bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal container and place in refrigerator to marinate for 4 hours.
- Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. You can cook the chicken by grilling it, baking it at 400 degrees F for approximately 20 minutes, or cooking it in a skillet over medium high heat for 15-20 minutes. You’ll know the chicken is done when the internal temperature is 165 degrees F.
- Make your gyro bowls. Once the chicken is cooked through cut into thin slices. Divide the chicken, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce between 4 bowls.
