That’s right guys, another rustic project. I told you to be prepared for rustic-decor overload! This time we made a Rustic Wood Frame using an open barn wood frame from Hobby Lobby and some chicken wire. At the bridal shower we’ll display it on the mantle with pictures of the bride and groom (who have been together since high school) along with our Rustic Rag Banner.

The project was quick and easy, just like we like ’em! All you need is an open frame, rustic or not, some chicken wire, wire snips, and a staple gun….can you believe we didn’t use hot glue?! We have twine pictured here but we decided we didn’t need it, we really liked the look of the pictures clipped straight to the wire rather than being hung in front of it.

Unroll your chicken wire and cut it to the right size. The wire bends easy so there will be some places that just won’t straighten out, don’t worry, just staple down one side and then begin pulling it tightly to the second side, that will help pull the curve out of the wire. Go around all four side and then snip any extra pieces of wire that are sticking up around the edge and you’re done.

Now all you have to do is find a bunch of cute things to hang on it. Don’t just use photos, find cards, invitations, cute printables, etc.. Give it some personality!

I think for the bridal shower we’ll add some burlap flowers and maybe some lace to tie in with the shower invitation. What do you think?
