Save time on game day with this 2-minute Mango Salsa recipe.
Are you ready for the Big Game? Did your team make it to the end this year? Ours didn’t :(, but we’re still excited about getting together with friends and family to watch the game. Melinda is hosting the party this year and there are going to be kids of varying ages so she and I have been working on a menu that adults and kids will enjoy. There will be some traditional favorites like sliders and wings, as well as some new recipes like this 2-Minute Mango Salsa.
I love just about any kind of salsa and this recipe is so quick and simple, and can be customized in so many different ways, that it is perfect for parties. All you do is mix one 15oz. can of Del Monte Diced Mangos in light syrup with one 24 oz. jar of your favorite brand of chunky salsa and then give it your own twist with any extras you would like to add. We found everything we needed for our salsa at Walmart. They have an awesome pineapple salsa that goes so well with the diced mangos and to give our salsa a little zing we added a squeeze of lime and fresh cilantro.
A little sweet, a little spicy, and only takes 2 minutes to make. What more could you ask for? It also ties in perfectly with the activity we have planned for the kids. As much as all of us adults love watching the game it is a little long to hold the attention of some of the younger guests so Melinda is setting up a little fiesta for them downstairs where they can eat chips and salsa, and watch “The Book of Life” DVD.
Whether you are hosting a party for the Big Game or you’re attending a party where you have to bring a dish this 2-minute salsa recipe is the perfect way to please a crowd without spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
