This Simply Salad Wrap is my way of keeping lunchtime salads interesting.
his summer has been hectic. Both of my kids are in summer camp this year so most mornings it is a rush to get everyone ready and out the door. once I drop them off I head to work. I own a seasonal business and summer is our busy time. Before I started eating low carb I would run out at lunch and get pizza, or pick up fast food, but when I started making an effort to eat healthier and smarter I had to figure out a different lunch time solution.I eat salads for lunch a lot since they are quick, healthy, and low carb, but I don’t always have time to make them in the morning when I’m trying to make the kids’ lunches and get everyone out the door. The Ready Pac Bistro Bowl Salads from Wegman’s have been a lifesaver. They have everything I need lettuce, a protein, salad toppings, and dressing. All I have to do is mix everything together and lunch is ready.
Ready Pac Bistro Bowl Salads come in a large variety including, Chicken Caesar, Turkey and Bacon Cobb, Chopped Greek Feta, Organic Spinach with Chicken, etc. Even with all of those options I still like to change it up a little sometimes. I bought some low carb wraps and when I want something a little different I place all of the ingredients from my Ready Pac Bistro Bowl Salad on the tortilla, add my dressing and roll it up. It’s great for days when I have to run to the bank on my lunch hour because it means I can eat my salad on the go!
I even made these wraps for my husband last weekend. He isn’t a huge fan of salads but when I wrapped up the Chopped Italian Style salad in a tortilla he didn’t even blink.
The wraps are so easy to make and the Ready Pac Bistro Bowl Salads come in so many flavor combinations, they are great for casual entertaining. You can buy a few different salads, wrap them up, then slice the wraps into 4 pieces and put a toothpick through each one to hold it together, for a simple party appetizer. Or, you can make two or three wraps and cut them in half for a healthy lunch with friends.
