After a long cold winter and rainy spring, Mother Nature has found her bearings. The sun is finally out here in Maryland, which means summer party planning is in full swing. Summer birthday party ideas for kids have endless possibilities. It is never too early to start planning your next party. Planning ahead gives you plenty of time to make all of your party decor, favors and invitations or if time is limited, there is always Amazon! Here are a few of my favorite Summer birthday party ideas for kids.
This Crab Shack party is perfect this time of year! Cook up a bushel of crabs and invite the whole family over. The crab cookies and crab pool are too cute!
This Take a Dip pool party is a great idea now that the pool is open for the season. Those jello cups are adorable!
For the raceway lovers, this Race Car party goes above and beyond in every decoration. The photo booth may be my favorite using the checker tablecloth and car cutouts. Pretty smart using the car inflatables as props too.
Cool off this summer with a Milkshake and Float party. Great idea using the mason jars as containers for individual milkshakes. The Vitamix blender makes a huge difference in making those milkshakes nice and thick.
Loving the cutie marks fence they made for this My Little Pony party. The mini ponies on the cupcakes are a great touch.
All aboard this Train party! There are so many crafty touches for this party. The personalized wooden train letters can you used as a toy afterwards or a party keepsake. Train shaped cookies and watermelon!?!
Every little girl will love this Sugar n’Spice party theme. It is super easy to make a rag banner like this one or to save time, order one here.

Remember there is no such thing as planning too early! Fabulous parties need a lot of planning and attention to detail even if it’s for a child’s party.
Happy planning!
All so fun! Loving the colors of the pineapple-themed party. I need to start planning my daughter’s birthday so this is great inspiration. Visiting from Lou Lou Girls.
These are great ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Such a fun roundup of kids bday party ideas! The milkshakes and floats is a definite must-do!
Gorgeous party ideas! I really love the my little pony cake!
Thanks Abigail that is one of my favorite cakes!
Agreed, the weather has been wacky during the spring! After all that rain, I’m now having to water my pots almost daily. So weird. Anyway, love the idea of a crab shack party…especially for a Marylander!
I’m pretty sure there are some party ideas I’d like for myself (turning 35 this summer). Cute ideas!
LOL, I’m turning 36 next Friday and I thought the same thing while I was writing this.
All of these ideas are so unique and I love the thoughtful details behind them! I might just have to recommend a few of these to my sister-in-law as she gears up for my niece’s and nephew’s birthdays. Thanks for sharing!
I agree fabulous parties certainly do require planning, I love all these creative ideas!
These summer birthday party ideas are great, and I will try to implement a few of these ideas in the future parties that I organize. I am sure that the kids who come to this party will have a great time.
