Set Instant Pot to saute normal or low and brown the sausage.
Turn Instant Pot off and add onions, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth to the pot.
Fasten the lid on your Instant Pot or pressure cooker and close the steam valve. Set to manual, pressure, high for 15 minutes.
While the soup cooks place the chopped kale in a microwave safe dish with about 1/2 a cup of water and then cover and cook in the microwave for 3-4 minutes or until the kale is tender but still bright green. Remove, drain water, and set aside.
After the time is up let the pressure cooker sit for about 10 minutes and then release the rest of the steam by opening the valve carefully.
Open the lid to your pressure cooker and add kale before serving.
Notes
NOTE: If you do not want to steam your kale separately you can place it in the pressure cooker/Instant Pot along with the other ingredients and cook them all together at the same time. This tastes just as good the kale just won't have the vibrant green color.Net Carbs = 6g per serving**Disclaimer: We are not certified nutritionists.
