Cranberry Orange French Toast

French Toast
- 8 slices White bread thick
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 4 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- Zest from ½ an Orange
Cranberry-Orange Syrup
- 1/4 cup Cranberry sauce
- 1 cup Cranberries fresh or frozen
- 1 cup Corn syrup
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon Orange zest
French Toast
Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, and sugar together and pour into a shallow container.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip bread in egg mixture and drop into a skillet frying slices until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side.
Set the slices to the side as they are finished.
Plate french toast, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and pour Cranberry-Orange sauce over it.

Cranberry-Orange Syrup
Add all ingredients to a small pot and bring to a boil over medium high heat stirring continuously.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes until it thickens.
Let cool slightly before pouring over french toast.
