Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Salmon cut into 4 ounce fillets
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 Orange thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Grease the bottom of a baking sheet with the olive oil. See Note 1
  • Rub the salmon fillets with the salt and pepper.
  • In a small saucepan combine the orange juice, brown sugar and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and cook liquid until reduced by half.
  • Once the glaze has reduced remove it from the heat and let it cool for 5-10 minutes. This will allow it to thicken.
  • Pour the glaze over the salmon and place the fresh orange slices on the salmon.
  • Bake the salmon for about 15 minutes, or until the fish is done to your liking. You can flip the oranges over halfway through if they look like they are burning.
  • You will know the salmon is ready when it easily flakes apart with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.

Notes

  1. To make cleanup easier we suggest lining your baking sheet with aluminum foil before greasing.
