These easy Mint Julep Spritzers are our take on the classic Kentucky Derby drink. Cool and refreshing, it is the perfect cocktail for any warm afternoon or evening.

Ingredients

Mint Julep Spritzer

  • 1 ounce Bourbon
  • ½ ounce Simple syrup
  • 8-10 Mint leaves
  • ¼ cup Prosecco ¼ cup is an estimate use enough to fill the glass

Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar

Instructions

Mint Julep Spritzer

  • Add the bourbon, simple syrup, and mint leaves to a shaker (or glass jar). Muddle them with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon for 30 seconds, or until the mint leaves have broken up.
  • Strain the bourbon mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a glass filled with ice.
  • Top the glass off with Prosecco, this takes approximately ¼ cup bu and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Simple Syrup

  • Stir water and sugar together in a small pot and bring to a boil.
  • Let boil for 2-3 minutes and then remove from the heat and let cool.
  • Store cooled syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to use
