Prepare pan. Using a non-stick spray or butter grease the inside of your muffin pan. Set aside. Note: You also have the option of using muffin liners so you can avoid greasing the muffin tin.

Make muffin batter. In a large bowl combine the muffin mix, the ingredients listed on the back of the box (most often eggs, oil, and water), and chocolate chips (if needed). Mix together.

Bake. Bake according to the box instructions. You’ll know they are done when a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out with just a few crumbs clinging to it.
