Ingredients

  • 18 Wonton wrappers

Dumpling filling:

  • 16 ounces Ground pork
  • 3 Green onions finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons Grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chili crisp
  • 2 teaspoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Dumpling Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Finely minced garlic
  • 1 Green onion thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Chili crisp

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Prepare your steamer. You’ll need a 9x13 inch casserole dish. Fill the dish with 1 inch of water and set aside.
  • Add all ingredients for the dumpling filling to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Fill a bowl with water, this will be used for your wonton wrappers.
  • In a small baking dish (7x11 inch works best) create a layer of wonton wrappers on the bottom, making sure to quickly dip each wrapper in the bowl of water before adding it to the dish.
  • Spoon half of the pork mixture on top of the wontons, spreading it out into a thin layer.
  • Create another layer of wonton wrappers. Top with the second half of the pork. Spread into a thin layer and finish with a final layer of wonton wrappers.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of water over the top layer.
  • Place the 7x11 inch dish into the 9x13 inch dish. Cover the dishes tightly with aluminum foil. Carefully place your dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until instant thermometer inserted in the center reads 160 degree F.
  • While it bakes mix all ingredients for the dumpling sauce together in a small bowl.
  • Carefully remove from the dish from the oven. Remove the foil and carefully remove the small dish from the large dish.
  • Cut into squares and serve with dumpling sauce and chili crisp.
