Ingredients

  • 4 Very Ripe Bananas peeled
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter divided
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Walnuts
  • 1.25 cup Chocolate chips divided

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan before lining the bottom with a piece of parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth.
  • Cream eggs, butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl on medium speed.
  • Add mashed bananas, ¼ cup peanut butter, and vanilla to butter mixture and continue to mix on medium.
  • In a separate bowl combine the baking soda, baking powder,salt, and flour. Whisk together with a fork.
  • Slowly add the flour to the batter continuing to mix.
  • Add 1 cup of chocolate chips, and walnuts to batter stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes at 350°F or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and cool completely before removing the banana bread from the pan.
  • In the microwave melt ¼ cup chocolate chips in a small bowl 15 seconds at a time until the consistency is pourable.

  • Drizzle banana bread with the peanut butter and chocolate.
  • Slice and serve.
