Pizza Wontons
These crunchy Pizza Wontons are a simple snack for the kids filled with cheese, sauce, and pizza toppings.
Alright who else is heading to the movies with the kids this weekend for Kung Fu Panda 3?! I’m going to spend the weekend with my niece and nephew and that was the first thing they asked about. Going to the movies with Grandma and Aunt Kat is extra fun because we let them have as many Gummi Bears as they want!

In keeping with our Kung Fu Panda 3 weekend I’m making the kids one of their favorite foods, in ninja star form! These simple pizza wontons are cheese, sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings (in this case mini pepperonis) folded into wontons and fried until they are crispy.
I know wontons can seem a little difficult but they are actually really simple! Start with a wonton square and fill it with your sauce. Then add a little cheese and your favorite pizza toppings. I bought cute little mini pepperonis for the kids but if I was making them for myself I would probably add some mushrooms and onions!
Wet your finger with a little water and run it around the edges of the wonton.
Then fold it over and press the edges tightly together. While you fold our wonton you can be heating your oil. Fill a fryer pan up with 4-5 inches of oil and heat it to 350F. Enough oil to completely cover the wontons. When your wontons are ready just gently slide them into the oil and fry them until they are golden brown. About 30-60 seconds per side.
It is such a fun way to eat pizza and I know the kids are going to love that I’m calling them ninja stars.

What a great idea. I love to make appetizers with wonton wrappers. Pinning and adding to make it list.
