Can you believe it is almost 2016?! We have had such a great year and we’re looking forward to celebrating with friends and starting off the new year with a bling themed New Year’s Eve party! We’re talking glitter, gold, and silver, anything that sparkles and shines. Our guests have been invited and our menu is planned the only thing our party still needed was a signature drink. Daily’s Cocktails® to the rescue. They sent us some of their new cream cocktails to try just in time!
Daily’s Cream Cocktails come in three flavors: Chocolate & Cream, Horchata Cinnamon & Cream and Salted Caramel & Cream. They are a blend of alcohol and real dairy cream for a smooth and indulgent cocktail. You can serve them over ice or, you can add them to a hot drink to keep you toasty on a cold winter night. Either way they are like a delicious dessert in a glass!
Since this is our signature drink for our bling-y NYE party we wanted to go with a classic, sophisticated drink, and you don’t get much classier than a martini. We put a dessert spin on ours by combining two Daily’s flavors, the Chocolate & Cream, and the Salted Caramel & Cream to create a rich, indulgent, Salted Caramel Chocolate martini.
This party is all about looking good so we dressed our drink up with a chocolate swirl in the martini glasses. I’ll admit I thought this was going to be easier said than done but it turned out to be really easy. We melted chocolate chips and then put them in a plastic sandwich bag and snipped off one tip to make an impromptu piping bag. Then we just made swirls on the inside of the glass and put them in the fridge to let the chocolate harden. This is great for a party because you can make your glasses ahead of time and have them ready for serving your signature drink! You could even do different flavors of swirls, white chocolate, dark chocolate, peppermint, etc, and have different drinks ready for whichever glass your guests choose. Fun!
When it is party time you serve up your Salted Caramel Chocolate Martinis in your chocolate swirled glasses and top it with a chocolate salted caramel ball. It’s a drink and a dessert all in one! Our guests are going to love it!
