How to Make Peach Syrup for Tea

Peach Syrup:

Step 1 – Boil peaches – Place the frozen peaches, water, and granulated sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high heat. As soon as the ingredients begin to boil, reduce heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2 – Smash peaches – As the ingredients simmer, stir everything together and smash the peaches so that they break apart and release more of their juices.

Step 3- Simmer – After 15 minutes turn off the heat and remove the pot from the burner. Let it sit for another 10 minutes.

Step 4 – Strain – Place a fine mesh strainer or sieve over a large bowl and pour the peach puree into the strainer. Press down on the peaches to get as much juice out as you can. Once done you can throw away the peach mixture in the strainer.

Step 5 – Store – Pour the peach syrup into a container with a lid and tightly seal. Place in the refrigerator to keep for up to 1 week.

If tea isn’t your thing, you can always add this mixture to some lemonade!
