Werewolf Chow

Have you all had puppy chow? Some people call it muddy buddies. It’s a delicious mixture of rice cereal that is coated in melted chocolate and peanut butter and then tossed in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or in this case brownie mix. Since I made Halloween puppy chow I’m calling mine Werewolf Chow and it’s packed with all sorts of Halloween goodies to make the ultimate Halloween party food.

Werewolf Chow ingredients

How to Make Halloween Puppy Chow:

  1. In the microwave melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Cook for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between each, until smooth.
  2. Place rice cereal in a large bowl and pour the peanut butter chocolate mixture over it. Stir gently until well coated.
  3. Place brownie mix in a large plastic bag (I used a gallon freezer bag), add the chocolate-coated cereal, and shake, shake, shake! Until it is coated in the powder.

Once you’re made your brownie mix puppy chow it’s time to add the Halloween candy that is going to take it from puppy to werewolf. Since the Halloween puppy chow is made with peanut butter and chocolate I added peanut butter candies, and mini peanut butter cups. To give it some crunch I added caramel popcorn, and to finish it off I added edible candy eyes, because seriously guys, candy eyes make everything better.

Werewolf Chow treat

I love this puppy chow! When you grab a handful and get a little bit of everything in one bite it’s the perfect blend, of peanut butter, chocolate, and caramel. Make this Halloween puppy chow for your Halloween party, take it to work to share, or just keep it all for yourself….I won’t tell!
