Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Chicken breast – Lean and tender, this is the hearty base of the salad. Use rotisserie or leftover chicken for convenience.
  • Mayonnaise – Adds creaminess and richness to the dressing, helping bind everything together.
  • Sour cream – Balances the mayo with a slight tang and smooth texture for a more flavorful, creamy chicken salad.
  • Dijon mustard – Gives the dressing a subtle zing and depth of flavor without overpowering the other ingredients.
  • Lemon juice – Brightens the salad and cuts through the creaminess, adding a refreshing citrus note.
  • Salt – Enhances all the flavors in the dish. Adjust to taste depending on your chicken’s seasoning.
  • Black pepper – Adds mild heat and a peppery finish to round out the flavor profile.
  • Celery – Provides a crisp, fresh crunch that contrasts beautifully with the creamy texture.
  • Red grapes – Sweet and juicy, the grapes add a burst of flavor and color in every bite.
  • Pecans – Buttery and crunchy, they offer a rich nutty taste that complements the sweetness of the grapes and the creaminess of the dressing.
