These SNICKERS® Pretzel Bites are a quick and easy snack that are the best cure for when I’m feeling hangry.
There are so many days when I’m so busy I don’t have time to eat. I get the kids up and dressed, then take kid 1 to school then race home to feed kid 2 lunch and put her down for a nap. While she’s down I try to make a dent in the laundry and maybe work on a blog post and before I know it she is up and I am chasing a toddler around the rest of the afternoon.
Sometimes around 4pm I start to get hangry (hungry +angry = hangry)… and nobody likes it when mommy is hangry. Honestly I don’t like it , I hate being short with the kids or snapping at my husband when he walks in from work. On those crazy days when I’m running around all day and I realize I’m getting to that grumpy place I take a few seconds on my way to pick kid 2 up from school and grab a SNICKERS®.
Since I don’t always have time to stop and grab one, and because sometimes kid 1 & kid 2 are mini grumps when I drag them around all day doing errands, I came up with this super simple recipe for SNICKERS® Pretzel Bites. They are small and perfect for when you are on the go. You can use any SNICKERS® but my favorites are SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares, or SNICKERS® Almond.
All you need are some mini pretzels and a SNICKERS® bar. This time I used SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares. I cut each square into 4 pieces and placed one piece on each pretzel. The I put them on a baking sheet and baked them at 350F for 5 minutes. As soon as I took them out of the oven I pressed one pretzel on top of each one, smooshing the SNICKERS® piece down. Then I popped the bites into the fridge for 20 minutes to firm them up.
They are a great on the go snack and they have saved the kids from Hangry Mommy more times than I would like to admit!

It is one of my new favorite combinations. I never would have guessed how awesome they would be!
I wonder how to store them. I want to make the night before and take into work for a snack day. Should the container stay in the frig or room temp ok?
Hi Angie, I would store them at room temp because sometimes condensation from being in the fridge can make a pretzel a little soggy.
