This sweet and salty RITZ Peanut Butter Brownie recipe uses peanut butter and RITZ crackers to make an easy sweet and salty brownie recipe that everyone in my house loves.
Sweet and salt desserts are the best. Don’t you think? There’s something about that salty, often crunchy bite in the middle of rich, sweet, chocolate or caramel that totally makes my mouth water. Obviously I’m passing my love for the salty and sweet combination along to my kids because when I asked my son what I should make with RITZ crackers he was struck with some RIZpiration and the first thing out of his mouth was “A brownie!” I have to admit it was a pretty awesome idea and this chocolaty RITZ Peanut Brownies recipe is a new family favorite.
Everything I needed for this recipe was already in the pantry. RITZ crackers and Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter are a staple in my house. RITZ crackers are perfect for on-the-go snacking especially RITZ Fresh Stacks which are smaller packs of RITZ crackers that are so easy to pack in a bag for those times you need a little something to eat but you don’t have time to stop. Two RTIZ crackers with some smooth Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter make snack time even better!
You know me, I like to keep things as simple as possible….that means the brownies get in my belly sooner! So, this recipe starts with a boxed brownie mix and the ingredients listed on the back of the box. Once I made my batter I poured it into a pan and then microwaved some Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter for a few seconds until it was a pourable consistency. I poured it in lines over the brownie batter and used a toothpick to drag through the peanut butter and make a pretty swirl in the batter. Then came the good stuff. I dropped whole RITZ crackers right into the batter pressing them down slightly so they sank into the chocolate a little. I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t sure what I was going to end up with but I figured you really can’t go wrong with Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter and RITZ crackers, they are the perfect snack, and I really didn’t see how putting them together in a thick, fudgy brownie could do anything but make them better.
Turns out I should listen to my son more often. The brownies were amazing. You got the salty buttery cracker in every bite and it was the perfect contrast to the sweet chocolaty brownie and swirls of Peter Pan peanut butter. My son bragged about “his recipe” all weekend and I’ve got to give it to him It may be my new favorite way to eat RITZ crackers.

Do you mean 2 boxes of brownie mix???
Hi Pat, the brownie mix we were using was for an 8×8 pan and we used a 9×13 pan so we used 2 boxes of brownie mix. If you have a box of brownie mix that makes a 9×13 inch pan of brownies you only need 1 box.
