S’mores Pretzel Bites
This post is part of a campaign with Jif and the Mom It Forward Blogger Network, but all opinions are 100% our own.
Do you all have a busy summer planned? I do! I’ve got a trip to the beach coming up and my son is playing sports, not to mention day trips to the aquarium and a family reunion. Whew! We are going to be on the go, but having fun, all summer long. Keeping the kids fed while we are out and about is a priority, nothing brings the day’s festivities to a halt like a cranky, hungry, toddler. One of the easy snacks in my arsenal are these s’mores pretzel bites and Jif To Go Dippers. Chocolate, marshmallow, and pretzel dipped in creamy peanut butter? Yes please!
Have you had Jif To Go Dippers before? They are individually sized 1.5 oz. Jif To Go cups that are the perfect for dipping all sorts of snacks in anytime, anywhere. They are available in convenient 3 or 8 count packs and they make a great, portable, snack when you’re on the go. My s’mores pretzel bites are quick to make and were pretty much made for scooping up peanut butter in between summer activities. You aren’t going to believe how simple these things are to make. All you do is lay out some mini square pretzels on a plate. Stack a mini marshmallow on each square and put the plate in the microwave for 10 seconds (or less depending on your microwave strength). The marshmallows swell up and then you pull them out of the microwave and press another pretzel square down on top of each one. Next you fill a coffee mug with about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and put them in the microwave until they are melted and smooth. Quickly dip each marshmallow pretzel into the chocolate and sit them on a piece of wax paper to let the chocolate cool and harden (if you are impatient like me you can put them in the fridge to speed up the process). When you are heading out for a day of family fun you can just throw some s’mores pretzel bites in a baggie and pack up a few Jif To Go cups and you’re good to go.
