How to Make BBQ Pulled Chicken
BBQ Pulled Chicken in the Crock Pot – This is my favorite way to make BBQ pulled chicken. Throw everything together in a slow cooker and then set it and forget it until you’re ready for dinner!
Rotisserie Chicken – If you’re running short on time you can use rotisserie chicken to make your BBQ pulled chicken. Just remove the skin, pull the chicken off the bone, and shred using two forks. Add your BBQ sauce and mix it all together and you’re ready to go.
Make-Ahead Shredded Chicken – If you like to prep ahead you can also make your own shredded chicken in the slow cooker or the Instant Pot and store it in the freezer until you’re ready to use. Then defrost, heat up and and BBQ sauce.
This is a good way to make a large batch and keep some leftovers for chicken taquitos or shredded
chicken taco bowl. Having the shredded chicken already on hand will cut down on your prep time and make for easy weeknight dinners!

What Bread to Use
We always use original Hawaiian rolls for our sliders. We love the slightly sweet, super soft, rolls, but you can use any slider buns you like.
The Sara Lee slider buns are also great. They don’t have a sweetness to them, but they are still very soft and fluffy.
What BBQ Sauce to Use for Chicken Sliders
The best BBQ sauce to use is the one you like best. There are lots of different types of BBQ sauces. There are sweet sauces, smokey sauces, vinegar-based sauces, Memphis BBQ, North Carolina BBQ, Georgia BBQ, and more!
And, of course, you can always make your own homemade BBQ sauce for that personal touch to your dish!’
