easy to make Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Chicken Parmesan Sliders take the classic comfort food, Chicken Parmesan and put it on soft slider rolls, to bake it into a delicious bite-size snack that is the ultimate party food!

Sliders are one of my favorite things to make because you can take almost anything and turn it into a simple bite-sized sandwich that is perfect for feeding a bunch of hungry guests….or just one hungry family! I have a list a mile long of awesome slider ideas and so far I’ve made Philly Cheesesteak Sliders, and easy, cheesy, Meatball Sliders. Both were huge hits with my friends and family so the bar was set pretty high when I came up with my latest slider creation, Chicken Parmesan Sliders.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Hawaiian Sweet Rolls – I find these to be the best rolls for sliders. Something about the slight sweetness of the bread just gives the dish an extra dollop of amazing.
  • Breaded Chicken Tenders – You can use sub with grilled chicken tenders, shredded rotisserie chicken, or homemade shredded chicken if you wish. Whatever chicken you use, make sure you cook it first!
  • Pasta Sauce – My absolute favorite pasta sauce is Rao’s marinara but you can use any brand.
  • Cheeses – Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese combine to make a delicious, cheesy topping for your chicken parm.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder and Italian seasoning are combined with thee butter and brushed over the buns.
  • Butter – To toast the buns with a little added flavor and a bit of crunch.

Feeding a large group? Why not try a slider party? In addition to these sliders, you can also add Philly cheesesteak sliderscopycat Big Mac sliders, and BBQ chicken sliders for the best of all worlds!

How to Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders:

Step 1 – Prepare oven. Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2 – Bottom layer. Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a greased casserole dish, or on a greased baking sheet.

Step 3 – Chicken layer. Place cooked chicken tenders on the bottom buns and then spoon the sauce over the chicken.

Step 4 – Cheese layer. Combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the sauce.

Step 5 – Top layer. Place the top buns on the sliders.

Step 6 – Butter. Melt the butter and mix the garlic powder in until it is thoroughly combined. (feel free to add more garlic powder if you like garlic as much as I do!)

Step 7 – Topping. Pour the melted butter over the buns and then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Step 8- Bake. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Step 9 – Serve. Serve hot and enjoy!

Do I Cook the Chicken Before Adding it to the Sliders?

Yes! Choose your favorite brand of frozen, breaded chicken, cook it according to the package instructions, and then add it to the slider buns to make your Chicken Parmesan Sliders.

Can I Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders Ahead of Time?

Chicken Parmesan Sliders are best served hot and straight out of the oven so I don’t recommend making these sliders ahead of time since the bread can become soggy if it sits overnight.

You can save yourself time by cooking the chicken the day before and storing in the refrigerator overnight. If you do this I recommend reheating the chicken before adding it to the sliders so that they are already heated through before going into the oven.

These delicious sliders were gone almost as soon as they came out of the oven. The smell of the garlic butter and tomato sauce wafting out of the oven as these sliders were cooking had everyone impatiently asking when they were going to be ready!
